Look at the vehicle. Does the vehicle have a trailer hitch? Did the driver push the limits on their last service? Has the vehicle been modified? Sometimes the vehicle will tell you more than the owner.

Don’t wait for headlights to dim and burn out before you talk to your customer about replacing them. Most headlights will dim over time and should be replaced every five years to ensure the best lighting performance. Always replace bulbs in pairs. If one has burned out, the other can’t be far behind.

The taillights, headlights and marker lights are safety items and should be inspected first and placed at the top of the form. Also, replace lights in pairs. If a light has failed, chances are the bulb on the other side will fail soon.
